As an award-winning training enterprise, TROST offers versatile, well-founded and practice-oriented training. Beyond the operative apprenticeship programme, you can expect to attend interesting events.

Currently, some 100 apprentices are employed at TROST in the following training professions:

  • Management assistant in wholesale and foreign trade (m/f)
    Details

    TROST offers two options in the training course to become a management assistant in wholesale and foreign trade:


    Training in a branch

    The focus of your training lies in sales. To receive the necessary merchandise management skills and to become acquainted with the interaction between the warehouse and sales facility, your training begins in the warehouse area. In the sales area, the acceptance of purchase orders is one of your main tasks. In direct customer contact, you will carry out orders for automotive parts using online software.


    Training at the central office

    Your training starts with a two-month deployment in one of the TROST branches. Here you will become acquainted with the main areas of our business, including warehouse, sales and phone-based order processing.

    You will then have training stints in the various departments at the central office in Stuttgart. You will be actively involved in the daily business, obtaining comprehensive insights into the company. During the last six months of your training, you will be placed in the department in which you will ultimately be working.


    Duration of training

    The training lasts three years and usually starts on 1 September. With a very good performance, it is possible to shorten the training period.


    Requirements

    • Good secondary school certificate or A-Levels
    • Interest in commercial transactions
    • Enjoy working with IT
    • Interest in automotive technology
    • Good ability to express yourself
  • Specialist for warehouse logistics (m/f)
    Details

    The task of a warehouse logistician is to accompany the entire goods receiving process up to the dispatch and to plan the necessary logistical procedures.


    Duration of training

    The training lasts three years and usually starts on 1 September. With a very good performance, it is possible to shorten the training period.


    Requirements

    • Good secondary school certificate or lower secondary general education certificate
    • Enjoy working with IT
    • Interest in logistics processes
    • Physical resilience
  • Warehouse operator (m/f)
    Details

    The warehouse is one of the most important areas in a commercial enterprise. The incoming goods are accepted and warehoused or directly prepared for further transport to the customer.

    The task range of a warehouse operator includes the acceptance and proper warehousing of merchandise as well as preparations for dispatch or the collection of goods.


    Duration of training

    The training lasts two years and usually starts on 1 September. With good performance, it is possible to extend the training for a further year and to complete the training with the certificate "Warehouse Logistics Specialist".


    Requirements

    • Good lower secondary general education certificate
    • Enjoy working with IT
    • Interest in logistics processes
    • Physical resilience

Your application should include the following documents:

  • Your last three school reports
  • Your complete CV with details of your time at school and your life outside of school (Have you joined any clubs or associations? What do you do in your spare time? Are you socially engaged? What interests do you have?)
  • Certificates from internships and courses completed (if available)
  • For cooperative university applicants with a technical college entrance qualification: aptitude test, which confirms the ability to attend university (Background: Since 15 January 2010, applicants with a technical college entrance qualification are eligible to study at DHBW. The prerequisite here is successfully passing a standardised aptitude test.)
